Essential Oils for the New Year-

As the winter Holidays wind down and give way to the New Year, it’s time once again to take stock.

This is the time of year that I feel encouraged to look at what I need to change about my lifestyle to create contentment in my life. I look at what makes me unhappy and I look for things in my life that I can change if I need to.

Aromatherapy can help in this time of discernment and meditation. There are many essential oils that encourage renewal and reflection. Here are a few simple recipes to start with:

For Focus and Concentration: 2 drops Basil, 2 drops Rosemary and 1 drops Pine Needle OR 2 drops Peppermint, 2 drops Bergamot, 1 drop Frankincense

For Calm and Equanimity:  2 drops Bergamot, 2 drops Lemon, 1 drop Neroli

For Meditation:  4 drops Ylang Ylang, 4 drops Lavender, 2 drops Frankincense and 2 drops Orange.

If you would like to create your own recipe, some oils that are great for energizing and awakening the mind are: Angelica, Basil, Bergamot, Benzoin, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Clove, Fir, Frankincense, Ginger, Lemon, Myrrh, Neroli, Peppermint, Rosemary, Sage and Sandalwood.

Dreaming Earth has quite a few blends for discernment and renewal if you don’t feel like you want to blend your own:  Alert, Clarity, Citrus, Renewal, Finding Joy, Inspiration, Peace of Mind, Spirit, Success and Uplifting/Energizing. Also our Chakra Blends, especially 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 7th, are perfect for this purpose.

I hope everyone has a Wonderful New Year full of blessings and fulfilled wishes and dreams!
