Description and Uses:

Rosemary Essential Oil (ct. 1,8-cineole) is an energizing, clarifying oil with a strong herbaceous aroma. Steam distilled from rosemary leaves, it is widely used in aromatherapy to help combat mental fatigue, support focus and alertness, and refresh the atmosphere—especially during long workdays or periods of low energy.

Rosemary is also traditionally used for respiratory support. This Moroccan chemotype is particularly well suited for congestion because of its naturally higher 1,8-cineole content, making it a favorite in diffuser blends and steam inhalations during seasonal changes.

Because Rosemary can be quite stimulating, many people prefer using it during the daytime, as its energizing character may feel too wakeful in the evening.

Traditional Uses: mental clarity and focus, energizing aromatherapy, seasonal respiratory support, cleansing home blends, deodorizing and freshening routines.

Ways to Use Rosemary (ct. 1,8-cineole):

Daytime Diffusion for Focus

Diffuse 2–5 drops to freshen the air and support concentration and mental stamina.

Steam Inhalation (Congestion Support)

Add 1–2 drops to a bowl of steaming water and inhale gently with eyes closed.

Massage Blend (Dilute Properly)

Dilute in a carrier oil for a stimulating, post-activity massage—especially for tired muscles and tension.

Do not use Rosemary essential oil during pregnancy. Rosemary essential oil may cause skin irritation—dilute well and perform a patch test prior to topical use, especially for sensitive skin. If nursing or under a doctor’s care, consult your healthcare professional before use. Avoid nighttime use if you find it overstimulating.
