Description and Uses:

Myrrh Essential Oil is steam distilled from the aromatic resin of Commiphora trees and has been treasured since ancient times as sacred incense, a perfume, and a traditional therapeutic ally. Deep, smoky, and balsamic, Myrrh is a classic base note in natural perfumery and a powerful companion oil for grounding blends.

In aromatherapy, Myrrh is often valued for its centering, meditative character. Many people find it supportive for quieting the mind, deepening breath, and creating an atmosphere conducive to reflection, visualization, and spiritual practice.

Physically (traditional use), Myrrh is commonly included in blends for:

  • Seasonal support such as colds and coughs (diffusion or inhalation blends)

  • Skin support for dry, irritated, or stressed skin—especially in cold weather

  • Traditional topical routines for eczema-prone skin and ringworm-style fungal concerns (properly diluted)

  • Oral care blends for gum support (used carefully and appropriately; do not ingest)

Added to a cream or balm, Myrrh can be a wonderful ally for protecting against chapped, dry skin during harsh weather, and it pairs beautifully with Lavender and Frankincense for soothing, restorative skincare blends.

Traditional Uses: incense and meditation, grounding emotional support, natural perfumery base note/fixative, seasonal diffuser blends, dry skin protection, traditional gum and skin support blends.

Ways to Use Pure Myrrh Essential Oil:

Meditation & Grounding Diffusion

Diffuse 1–3 drops with Frankincense or Sandalwood to create a calm, centering atmosphere.
