Description and Uses:

Our Eastern European Lavender Essential Oil is a beautiful, true lavender oil and one of our most popular. Lavender is incredibly versatile—relaxing and refreshing at the same time, gently uplifting to the spirit, and widely used to support comfort for tired bodies and busy minds. It’s the kind of oil that earns its place in every home.

Lavender is often described as a balancing oil: calming when you feel tense, and softly uplifting when you feel low or depleted. It’s especially loved for:

  • Stress relief and emotional grounding

  • Relaxation and restful sleep (try 1 drop on your pillow or bedding)

  • Refreshing tired muscles, feet, and head

  • Supporting comfort for occasional head tension, PMS, cramps, and muscular aches (properly diluted)

  • Seasonal diffuser blends for sinus and chest congestion support

Lavender is also a beloved skincare ally and is traditionally used in blends for sunburn, minor burns, insect bites, and inflamed or reactive skin. It’s often cited as one of the few essential oils that may be used “neat” for very specific situations (such as a minor burn), though dilution is still the best practice for most applications.

Traditional Uses: calming nervous tension, sleep support, soothing agent, skin conditioner, deodorizing diffusion, muscle comfort routines, first-aid style blends.

A Little Lavender Lore:

Lavender has been used for centuries. Its name is often traced to the Latin lavare (“to wash”), because the Romans famously added lavender to bath water. Lavender is also strongly associated with René-Maurice Gattefossé, whose experience using lavender after a burn helped inspire deeper study into essential oils and contributed to the popularization of the term “aromatherapy.”

Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) is cultivated worldwide today—including France, Russia, Bulgaria, the Himalayas, Croatia, and beyond—and remains one of the most universally loved essential oils for its soft, floral-herbaceous aroma and broad usefulness.
