Description and Uses:
Also called White Tea Tree, Kanuka comes from a small bushy tree indigenous to New Zealand. It was used originally by the Maori people of New Zealand for pain and inflammation relief, skin diseases, and to promote calmness and sleep. Kanuka essential oil has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory properties. Kanuka is a useful oil for skin problems such as fungal infection (athlete's foot, ringworm, nail fungal problems), rashes, dandruff. Kanuka oil can also be very effective for acne along with treating insect bites and other common skin conditions. Kanuka can help to relieve swelling and muscular pain, skin problems, for sprains, strains and sports injuries. Helps clear inflammation. Use as a skin tonic and for relaxation.
Cautions:
Kanuka essential oil is a strong oil and should be diluted in a carrier oil - no more than 2 drops per tsp.
