Fennel Description and Uses:
Sweet Fennel essential oil has a sweet anise-like aroma which makes it pleasant for skin care, and in a massage oil, is said to be effective for fluid retention and cellulite.
Fennel essential oil is known to be especially useful for problems with the digestive system, helping with gas, abdominal cramps and nausea. It's also reputed to be useful for alleviating menstrual cramps, PMS and menopausal symptoms. Traditional use: antiseptic, aphrodisiac, soothing agent, and muscle relaxant.
Cautions:
Fennel essential oil can be a skin irritant. Use half the recommended dilution or less. Do not use on young children. Not to be used during pregnancy, on women with breast cancer, and on those suffering from epilepsy.
