Description:
The spicy and earthy aroma of Angelica Seed essential oil is grounding and balancing. Many aromatherapists consider Angelica to be a restorative oil, helping to strengthen and fortify when one is feeling exhausted or worn thin.
There are two essential oils which come from angelica; one from the root and one from the seed. The seed yields more oil and is thus less expensive, but the root oil is deeper and more concentrated.
The Angelica plant has been cultivated for both medicinal and nutritive use since the 10th century. The name A. archangelica is thought to stem from the archangel Michael, who dreamed of its ability to cure the plague.
Cautions:
Avoid Angelica Seed during pregnancy and avoid use before exposure to sunlight.
