Aromatherapy Workshops, Classes and Seminars

Dr. Power provides four types of workshops, seminars and courses: a short (one-day) workshop; a three-day intensive seminar; a 90 hour / 12 week course (one day per week for 12 weeks); and custom workshops on aromatherapy, essential oils, vibrational healing and other alternative healing practices. These are aromatherapy workshops on the use of essential oils, both organic and non-organic. All the seminars on aroma therapy cover such topics as: organic essential oils, chronic fatigue syndrome, vibrational healing, aromatherapy and emotions, basics of aromatherapy, aromatherapy recipes, aroma therapy research, aromatherapy and vibrational medicine, psychoneuroimmunology and other alternative healing practices.

Dr. Power's "short" workshops & seminars have been put on "hold" until '08. Her last 12 week course (90 hr.) in Integrative Aromatherapy started in October '07 and was offered thru the Appalachia School of Holistic Herbalism (formerly North Carolina School of Holistic Herbalism) in Asheville, NC. Class could be attended either in person on by online video conference.

• One-day Workshop: We are currently in the planning stage for the next one-day workshop. This workshop will provide information and materials on aromatherapy and the use of essential oils to those with an interest in aromatherapy as well as practicing massage therapists, healers and aroamtherapists. The target date for the next workshop is Spring/Summer 2008 and the location will probably be in Asheville, NC.
  
  
• Three-day Seminar for Health Care Professionals: Dr. Power provides these seminars on Aromatherapy and Essential Oils once or twice a year. Currently we are planning another seminar for Spring or early Summer of '08.  Let us know if you're interested and we'll keep you posted.

• Custom Workshops and Seminars: Dr. Power is available again beginning in '08 for workshops of variable length, from one hour introductions to multi-day seminars, plus staff trainings, etc. Please let us know your needs at least 2 months in advance. Topics include aromatherapy, essential oils, vibrational medicine, psychoneurimmunology, alternative healing and more.

Seminar Instructor: Joie Power, Ph.D.

Joie Power is a retired, board certified neuropsychologist. She has nearly twenty years of clinical experience in both in- and out-patient settings and has undertaken extensive studies in aromatherapy and other alternative healing practices. She is the founder of Dreaming Earth Botanicals, the company that produces SomaTherapy Essential Oils, and is well known as a speaker and teacher in the field of aromatherapy and alternative healing.

Dr. Power has presented many scientific papers at national conferences and her articles on Aromatherapy have appeared in World Health News. She currently practices as a Wellness Consultant & Aromatherapy Educator and conducts group retreats and individual sessions in dreamwork, creative realization & earth-centered spiritual quests.
