Background: Dr. Power received her Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in 1983, qualified for Board Certification as a Neuropsychologist in 1984, and for Georgia licensure as an Applied Psychologist in the same year. She completed several years of internship and supervisions in neuropsychology at the Medical College of Georgia and was later an Assistant Professor of Surgery/Neurosurgery at he Medical College of Georgia. Later, she took two modules of Aromatherapy for Healthcare Professionals through the American Holistic Nurses Association and eventually retired from practice as a psychologist / neuropsychologist to go into aromatherapy and alternative healing. Dr. Power is not an M.D. and while well qualified as a neuropsychologist and aromatherapy educator, does not, of course, practice medicine.
