Botanical Name: Thymus vulgaris L.
Origin: Spain
Family: Lamiaceae (Labiatea)
Aroma: Strong, spicy, medicinal
Perfume Note: Middle
Method of Extraction: Steam distilled
Source: Flowering tops
Main Chemical Components: Thymol, carvacrol, borneol, cineol, metnone and pinene, may contain geraniol, linlol thujanol-4 or alpha-terpineol.
Blends Well With: Bergamot, lemon, rosemary, lavender, lavandin, marjoram essential Oils.

Description and Uses: Thyme has been used since ancient times as a medicinal herb. As an essential oil, Thyme is known for its strong antiseptic properties, as well as its uplifting and energizing effects. White Thyme essential oil can be vaporized as a household deodorant. Traditional use: deodorant, antiseptic

Cautions: Do not use Thyme essential Oil when pregnant or if you have high blood pressure. Dilute to no more than 2%. It may cause irritation to sensitive skin. We recommend this powerful oil for practitioners only.
