Rosewood Essential Oil
Botanical Name: Aniba Rosaeodora
Origin: Brazil
Family: Lauraceae
Aroma: Woody, floral

Source: Leaves and twigs
Main Chemical Components: a-pinene, camphene, geraniol, neral, geranial, myrcene, limonene, 1,8-cineole, linalool, benzaldehyde, linalool oxides, a-terpineol
Blends Well With: Lemon, lime, orange, lavender, petitgrain, neroli, ylang ylang, jasmine, sandalwood, geranium, ginger, basil, bergamot, palma rosa and patchouli essential Oils.

Description and Uses: With a beautiful woody, floral fragrance, Rosewood is a relaxing oil that is also useful for improving dry, dull and oily/dry skin. Relaxing and deodorizing. Add to massage oil to help combat tired muscles - especially after vigorous exercise. Has a steadying and balancing effect on nerves; useful during exams. Rosewood essential oil is a good anti-depressant oil, and may help with migraines and with warding off general malaise.

Please note that we have only a small supply of Rosewood oil left, and once it has been sold, we will no longer carry this essential oil, as Rosewood is on the endangered species list. Howood essential oil can be substituted for Rosewood oil.

Uplifting Blend for Daytime:
2 drops Geranium
2 drops Rosewood
2 drops Bergamot
Add 2 drops geranium, 2 drops rosewood and 2 drops bergamot to 6 teaspoons of our massage oil base (or any plain base/carrier oil). Wear as a fragrance, use for a gentle massage or inhale directly from the bottle.
