Origin: Tunisia
Family: Lamiaceae [Labiatae]

Description and Uses: Rosemary essential oil is an energizing oil with a strong herbaceous aroma. It helps to relieve muscle aches, respiratory congestion and combats mental fatigue. Use it in the daytime as its energizing effect may keep you awake at night. Rosemary essential oil is helpful as a before and after sports rub to maintain suppleness, and is said to help combat water retention and cellulite. Good hair tonic. An 'ideal pick me up'. Rosemary oil combats fatigue and clears a stuffy atmosphere.

The Tunisian rosemary is particularly suited to respiratory congestion due to its higher 1,8 cineole content.
Traditional use: antiseptic, muscle relaxant, soothing agent, skin conditioner

Cautions: Do not use Rosemary essential oil when pregnant, if you have high blood pressure, or if you have epilepsy. Rosemary may cause irritation of the skin, so use half the recommended dilution or less.
