These traps are designed specifically for the types of moths (webbing clothes moths) that live in closets, clothing, carpets, rugs, upholstery fabrics, blankets and any stored woolen or silk product. This Pheromone Kit includes two triangular traps, two pheromone vials and two hangers. This product is 100% pesticide free, and works through moth pheromones to interrupt the mating cycle.

Life Cycle: Clothes moths mate and deposit their eggs usually within 1-2 days of emergence from the pupae. The females do not live long after egg deposition although the males of the webbing clothes moth can survive for about one month. Depending on temperature and humidity, total developmental time (from egg to adult) varies from one to three months and can extend up to three or more years in some situations.

Males and females from both species shun light and are frequently overlooked by homeowners. When discovered, the adults are more likely to try to escape by running rapidly than by flying.

"These traps work!! I had a problem with these tiny fluttering moths in my apartment - particularly in my bedroom carpet and closets and I eventually started seeing them in the livingroom area. VERY ANNOYING!!! I never did find the source, but within 3 weeks of hanging these traps, I have not seen a moth or a forming coccoon. Follow the instructions exactly for setting the traps up and strategically place them where the moths are most concentrated and just give it time. The scent of the trap will draw them out and inside. Just let it do it's job - it WILL work.

NOTE: The little plastic "vial" only looks empty because there is no liquid inside, but it's not empty. Like a fool, I opened one so I know. There's not supposed to be liquid - just the phermone essence trapped inside. So don't open it. The phermone is released over time.
