Botanical Name: Cedrus atlantica
Origin: Morocco
Family: Pinaceae
Aroma: Soft, woody, warm with a hint of camphor
Method of Extraction: Steam Distilled
Source: Sawdust and wood chips
Main Chemical Components: Atlantone, caryophyllene, cedrol, cadinene.
Blends Well With the essential oils of: Bay, bergamot, cardamom, eucalyptus, juniper, frankincense, lavender, sandalwood

Description and Uses: Cedarwood essential oil can ease aches and pains and is especially good in cosmetic preparations for oily skin and dandruff. Helps to clear the breathing passages and is also an excellent oil for repelling insects. Place a few drops of Cedarwood Essential Oil on cotton balls or in sachets and place in your closet to keep the moths away.

Properties: antiseptic, antiseborrheic, astringent, diuretic, expectorant, insecticidal, sedative

Cautions: Not recommended during pregnancy.
