Bay Essential Oil is a wonderfully useful oil with many therapeutic applications and a fresh, spicy aroma.

Blends Well With the essential oils of: Bergamot, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, clove, geranium, ginger, lavender, citrus oils, rosemary and ylang ylang.

Description and Uses: Bay essential oil, also known as Sweet Bay or Bay Laurel is an uplifting oil that comes from bay leaves, well known in the culinary world. Bay essential oil has a broad spectrum of uses, and is valuable in supporting digestive, respiratory, emotional and skin health.

Specifically, Bay oil is useful for colds and flu, lack of appetite, tonsillitis and fatigue. Used in a steam inhalation blend, bay oil is useful as an expectorant. Externally, bay oil is helpful for muscle aches, neuralgia and arthritis. Used in a diffuser, bay oil may help stimulate the appetite, and in a massage blend, may help ease stomach discomfort. As a nerve tonic, bay oil is said to be helpful when one is experiencing a lot of doubt and uncertainty, as it can help fortify and strengthen one's confidence.

Bay Oil's Therapeutic Actions: Antiseptic, bactericidal, carminative, expectorent, diaphoretic, digestive, tonic.

Cautions: Use bay essential oil in moderation and dilute well. Not recommended during pregnancy.
